Context

A public air-quality monitoring network spanning five cities — Olhão, Faro, Odemira, Loulé and Quarteira — putting real-time environmental data in citizens' hands.

My responsibility

I owned this end to end at Smarthive — product selection, sourcing and supplier negotiation, the relationship with each city, the sales, the dashboard design, and the implementation.

What shipped

Monitoring stations across the five cities, feeding two connected views:

  • A public, real-time dashboard — air quality, noise and weather (CO₂, CO, NO₂, SO₂, O₃, temperature, humidity, noise), on a Bom-to-Péssimo scale
  • An operations view with live device status, a map of every station, and alarms

Evidence and outcomes

Publicly funded under the PRR / NextGenerationEU, the network gives residents continuous, transparent air-quality data — and drew regional press coverage when the Faro station went live.
